Joan Ann Carr died on September 3, 2026, at the age of 61 in Highland Heights, Kentucky, leaving her family, friends, and community deeply saddened by the loss of a beloved sister, aunt, and valued member of society.
She was the daughter of Thomas and Dolores Carr and was known for her strong family connections and the close bonds she maintained throughout her life. Her passing has brought grief to those who shared in her journey and daily presence.
Joan devoted over 20 years of her working life to Northern Kentucky University, where she served faithfully as a custodian. Her long service made her a familiar and respected figure within the university community.
Outside of work, Joan found joy in simple pleasures. She enjoyed music, crafts, and everyday outings, often appreciating small moments that brought comfort and happiness in her daily life.
She especially enjoyed shopping trips to places like Walmart, Meijer, Kroger, and Kohl’s, where she found relaxation and enjoyment in routine activities that reflected her simple and content lifestyle.
Joan is survived by her twin sister Judy Carr and her extended family, including many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Her memory will continue to live on through the strong family bonds she helped nurture and the love she shared with those around her.
