Devon Briggs, a 40-year-old man who had been reported missing in Alberta, has been located deceased, leaving family, friends, and members of the community mourning his loss. Clairmont RCMP had previously appealed to the public for assistance in locating Briggs after he was reported missing. Police said Devon was last seen in Grande Prairie, Alberta, on September 3, 2026, and officers had expressed concern for his wellbeing while working to determine his whereabouts.
At the time of the search, police provided a description of Devon to help members of the public recognize him. He was described as approximately 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing about 240 pounds, with a pale complexion, balding hair, and blue eyes. He was reportedly last seen wearing a black sweater, jeans, white socks, and black DC shoes. The Clairmont RCMP had asked anyone with information concerning Devon’s whereabouts to contact the detachment at 780-513-5114.
